Walk the route one day at a time — meals, overnight stays, and the details that shape each stage.
Kathmandu to Nepalgunj on schedule flight and stay in Hotel Siddhartha. Morning sightseeing tour in Kathmandu and after lunch fly to Nepalgunj and stay in hotel.
Early morning, fly from Nepalgunj to Simikot on schedule flight and continue helicopter flight to Hilsa and cross the border with 10 min walking. Then Tibetan guide will receive us and clear immigration formalities then drive to Taklakot (aka Purang). Guesthouse.
Today we will rest in Taklakot for acclimatization purposes so you should stroll around the Purang area to warm up your body with their climate. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.
Morning drive to Manasarovar Lake (4550m) and you can do puja and holy bath in the lake along with we will make circumambulation of Lake. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.
Today we drive to Yama dwar via Darchen and then we start parikrama of Mt. Kailash after Yama dwar. From Yama Dwar, we can see the first closest and clear view of Mt. Kailash. Those who cannot go for trekking will make darshan of Kailash from here and return back to Darchen waiting for another kora group. This day we have to walk about 5 hours at all. Yak will carry our all-essential types of equipment. Overnight stay at Guesthouse.
This day is very sensitive and has to Pass Dolma-La (5,670m) above sea level. The weather is unpredictable in Dolma-La and any time can change and start to a snow storm. So we try to start our journey as earlier as possible. In route can Darshan Gaurikunda. But it is very difficult to go and touch. Overnight stay at Zuthulphuk, Campsite.
This is the day to finish Parikrama (Kora) of Kailash at Zongjerpu. And drive to Purang via Mansarovar Lake. Overnight stay at the guesthouse.
Purang to Hilsa and flight to Nepalgunj & to Kathmandu After breakfast, we clear immigration formalities and drop down to Hilsa then take a helicopter flight to Simikot and connecting schedule flight to Nepalgunj & to Kathmandu. Overnight stay at Hotel. Alternatively, you can proceed to the Kyirong border or Lhasa after the Kailash tour instead of returning the same way via Simikot.
Spare day in Kathmandu; attend Full Day Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley. Spare day in Kathmandu (or in Simikot in case of weather problem)
