Halesi Mahadev Darshan is one of Nepal’s many important religious sites in the eastern hills and, hence, a pilgrimage to it is very spiritual. The Halesi Mahadev Temple is a holy shrine to Lord Shiva and a pilgrimage destination for Buddhists and Kirat people in Khotang.

When you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and taken to your hotel in Kathmandu. Your pilgrimage program begins after your check-in and a good rest at the Pashupatinath Temple, one of Nepal's most sacred Hindu temples and a holy pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva.
If your time is right, you will visit the temple complex in the late afternoon and feel the spiritual atmosphere along the banks of the Bagmati River. In the evening, you will see the famous Pashupatinath Aarati accompanied by devotional bhajans, chanting, lamps, and traditional rituals.
After the evening worship, return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, begin the scenic drive from Kathmandu to Halesi Mahadev Temple (Maratika Cave) via the BP Highway and the beautiful mid-hill landscapes of Nepal.
The journey passes through Dhulikhel, Khurkot, the Sunkoshi River corridor, Ghurmi, and other traditional settlements before ending up at Halesi. The road journey is about 215-230 km but could be much longer or shorter depending on road conditions, traffic, weather, and stops.
You will stop for tea, lunch, photography, and short breaks along the way. The drive offers a chance to see Nepal’s changing landscapes, including terraced farmland, rivers, forested hills, traditional villages, and mountain terrain.
Arrive at Halesi in the afternoon or evening and check in at your lodge. You might walk around the temple area and prepare for the early morning worship the following morning.

Wake up early in the morning and proceed to Halesi Mahadev Temple for Darshan and Puja. Halesi-Maratika is a very important pilgrimage site with the reverence of Hindus, Buddhists, and the Kirat community. The sacred cave complex is associated with Lord Shiva in Hindu tradition and with Guru Padmasambhava and Mandarava in Vajrayana Buddhist tradition.
Spend time inside the temple and cave for worship, meditation, and exploration of the sacred surroundings. Depending on your interest and the time available, you can visit the principal cave as well as the rest of the Halesi sacred complex.
After Darshan and Puja, return to the lodge for breakfast. Begin the drive back to Kathmandu using the same scenic route.
Take a lunch break on the way and continue to Kathmandu. Arrive in Kathmandu late afternoon or evening and go to your hotel.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. If your international flight is in the afternoon or evening, you can visit some of Kathmandu's most important cultural and religious landmarks before departure.
Depending on your flight schedule, possible sightseeing options include Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, or other nearby attractions.
After sightseeing, return to the hotel, collect your luggage, and drive to Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure.
If your flight is in the morning, the sightseeing portion can be omitted, and you will be transported to the airport straight away.
