A Glimpse of Kathmandu Tour: 3 Nights 4 Days Nepal Package
Discover Kathmandu Valley’s ancient cities, sacred temples, Buddhist stupas and vibrant local culture on a private four-day Nepal tour.
Journey overview
The 3 Nights 4 Days Nepal Tour Package is a short cultural journey designed for first-time visitors, families, couples and travelers with limited time in Nepal. Based entirely in Kathmandu, the itinerary explores the three historic cities of Kathmandu Valley: Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur.
Although four days is not enough to experience Nepal’s mountains, national parks and trekking regions, it provides sufficient time to discover the country’s cultural heart. Kathmandu Valley contains an extraordinary concentration of royal palaces, courtyards, temples, monasteries and traditional neighborhoods shaped by centuries of Hindu, Buddhist and Newari traditions.
Your sightseeing begins in Kathmandu with visits to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath. These UNESCO-listed sites reveal different aspects of Nepalese history and spiritual life. You can see former royal courtyards, observe pilgrims performing rituals beside the Bagmati River, walk beneath Buddhist prayer flags and experience the atmosphere surrounding one of Nepal’s largest stupas.
The following day extends beyond central Kathmandu to the historic cities of Patan and Bhaktapur. Patan Durbar Square is celebrated for its temples, courtyards, metalwork and Newari craftsmanship. Bhaktapur offers an equally impressive collection of traditional squares, brick lanes, temples and residential neighborhoods. Visiting both cities makes this four-day itinerary more comprehensive than a shorter Kathmandu stopover.
Local life remains an important part of the experience. Depending on your interests and available time, your guide can introduce you to traditional markets, artisans, local courtyards and Newari food. Lunch and dinner are not included, giving you the flexibility to choose restaurants and dishes with recommendations from your guide.
The package includes three nights at a comfortable hotel, daily breakfast, private airport transfers, private sightseeing transportation, an English-speaking guide and entrance fees for the monuments specified in the itinerary. The sightseeing sequence can be adjusted according to your flight schedule, local conditions and personal interests.
This 4 days Nepal tour is suitable as a standalone short holiday or as an introduction before continuing to Pokhara, Chitwan, the Everest region, Bhutan or Tibet. Nagarkot, an Everest mountain flight, additional hotel nights or further sightseeing can also be arranged when you have more time.

Continue to Swayambhunath, commonly known as the Monkey Temple. Situated on a hill overlooking Kathmandu Valley, this ancient Buddhist complex contains a white-domed stupa, shrines, monasteries and prayer wheels.
The tour then proceeds to Pashupatinath Temple, Nepal’s most important Hindu pilgrimage site. Non-Hindus cannot enter the main temple but can observe the wider temple complex and ritual areas from across the Bagmati River.
Conclude the day at Boudhanath Stupa, one of Nepal’s largest Buddhist stupas. Join pilgrims walking around the stupa, explore the surrounding monasteries and experience the peaceful evening atmosphere before returning to your hotel.
