8-Day Nepal Package | Kathmandu, Pokhara & Chitwan Itinerary
Eight unforgettable days of ancient heritage, Himalayan beauty, and wildlife adventures across Nepal.
Journey overview
The 8-Day Nepal Tour brings together the country’s most rewarding cultural, scenic, and wildlife experiences in one carefully paced journey. Designed especially for first-time visitors, this Nepal tour package connects Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan—three of Nepal’s most popular destinations—without requiring trekking or strenuous activity.
Your journey begins in Kathmandu, where a knowledgeable local guide introduces you to the capital’s remarkable spiritual and architectural heritage. Explore UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Swayambhunath, popularly known as the Monkey Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, sacred Pashupatinath Temple, and historic Kathmandu Durbar Square. Together, these landmarks reveal Nepal’s living blend of Hindu and Buddhist traditions, medieval artistry, and everyday local culture.
The tour then continues by road to Pokhara, Nepal’s peaceful lakeside city and gateway to the Annapurna region. Wake early for a memorable Sarangkot sunrise view, with clear-weather panoramas of the Annapurna range and the distinctive summit of Machhapuchhre, or Fishtail Mountain. Enjoy boating on Phewa Lake, visit the hilltop World Peace Pagoda, and spend a relaxed evening exploring Lakeside. Travellers who enjoy walking may choose a short hike to the pagoda instead of driving.
From Pokhara, travel to the subtropical plains for a two-night Chitwan National Park safari experience. A guided canoe ride, nature walk, birdwatching, and jeep safari offer opportunities to observe one-horned rhinoceroses, deer, crocodiles, monkeys, wild boar, and, with exceptional luck, the Bengal tiger. An evening cultural programme provides another meaningful introduction to the traditions of the Tharu community.
This Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan tour includes private transfers, comfortable accommodation, guided sightseeing, and enough flexibility to keep the experience enjoyable for couples, families, solo travellers, and private groups. It offers an engaging balance of ancient heritage, Himalayan scenery, tranquil lakes, and jungle adventure—all within 8 days in Nepal.
HimalayanWindows can personalize the journey with upgraded hotels, domestic flights, white-water rafting on the way to Pokhara, extra sightseeing, or an extension to Nagarkot. With attentive local planning and dependable support from arrival to departure, this itinerary is an excellent choice for travellers seeking a complete and memorable Nepal tour itinerary for one week, at a comfortable pace and with personalized service.

Friend Luke and I decided to meet up half way round the world and have nearly three weeks of touring Nepal, Tibet via China and it was excellent thanks to Himalayan Windows. Anup and his team scheduled the whole thing and it was flawless from start to finish picking us up in person from airport and matching us up with guide Pratik and driver to cover the sights of Kathmandu, Chitwan, Bandipur and Pokhara. We weren't that keen on hardcore trekking but we did venture in to the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri foothills which were stunning, eventually flying back to Kathmandu and on to Tibet via Chengdu which Annup and team had sorted Visas and Guides for. Throughout the whole trip we were really impressed by Anup's attention to detail and knowledge - and also much called for flexiiloty in scheduling when our energy levels were falgging towards the end of our adventure. Many thanks. Ten out of ten (or five out of five) and cannot recommend them enough! Our time in their hands was excellent! Source of review: TripAdvisor (HimalayanWindows Tours)
Simply brilliant!... What more is there to say about discovering Nepal with Anapum and Himalayan Windows? From the moment you are met at the airport Anapum and his staff make you feel like family and the 'Nepali experience' only gets better from there. Be it trekking, local cuisine, Nepali culture, or simple sightseeing, The Himalayan Windows crew have got it all covered; they are professional, knowledgeable, fun, and unbelievably hospitable. They truly 'go the extra mile' to make sure you discover the 'real' Nepal...we even got taken along to a Nepali wedding! If you want to discover Nepal- do it with Himalayan Windows...you won't be disappointed!
We had a 8 day tour of Nepal for 8 people including Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan and Nagorkot. Anup, the founder of HimalayanWindows was awesome. Prior to the trip, he was always very responsive to all my questions and changes. All the arrangements were perfect. During the trip, we had a flight problem that was weather related and Anup was very flexible to find an alternative solution for us. I have travelled a lot all over the world, but Anup was the best I have encountered. Great customer service, plus just an awesome guy. He also planned a separate trip that was just me for Bhutan which also went extremely well. I would highly recommend using Himalayan Windows for any tours you are planning for Nepal, Bhutan or Tibet.
