Namobuddha One-Day Hike is a short 1-day trek from Kathmandu valley. This 1-day hike is considered an easy and pleasant temple and monastery trek in and around Kathmandu valley. This one-day hike begins from the small Newari town, Dhulikhel (1550m), located 30 KM from the center of Kathmandu. After about an hour's drive from your hotel in Kathmandu, we reach Dhulikhel and start our Namobuddha one-day hike. Dhulikhel is a small hill station to observe the spectacular panoramic views of snow-peaked mountains.
The Namobuddha one-day hike starts from Nagarkot, trek up to Namobuddha monastery (1750m), Namobuddha Viewpoint, and ends at Panauti (1340m), where you can see the Newari cultures and temples before we drive back to Kathmandu. The total distance of this 1-day trek is about 20KM and takes approximately five to six hours.
This one-day hike is suitable for any age group, from youngsters to older adults, and fits those who love to explore ancient towns and cultures and indulge in nature. On this trial, you will be able to see several snowy mountains (if the weather is clear) such as Langtang Lirung (7227m), Gauri Shankar (7134m), Melungtse (7181m), Number (5945m), etc. The Total duration of this one-day hike to/from the hotel is about 9-10 hours, including a drive and sightseeing of Temples and monasteries.

Early in the morning, after a good breakfast, we begin our Dhulikhel-Namobuddha-Panauti one-day hike; 7:00 AM: Our tour guide comes to the hotel with transportation. As soon as breakfast is finish, we begin our day trip (if it is too early for you to take your breakfast, we shall ask the hotel for a packed breakfast, so you can have it later en-route). Our guide will brief you about the day hike program before the trip kicks off. Then we drive to Dhulikhel, the small Newari town which is located 30 KM from Kathmandu and the drive takes about an hour. After we reach to Dhulikhel hiking point, we get ready with our hiking logistics and start the hike to Namobuddha. The first phase of your hike up to Namobuddha takes about 2.5 hours. We take Lunch near Namobuddha at one of the local restaurants and drive further to Panauti. The second phase of your hike is about 2.5 hours. Before you drive back to Kathmandu, you will visit the historic Panauti town and temples around. The total hiking time for this Namobuddha Day hike is about 5-6 hours. After hiking is finished, you will be picked up from Panauti and taken back to the hotel in Kathmandu. We expect to take you back to Kathmandu before the sun is down.
