Journey overview

The experience at a glance

Experience the legendary Himalayas on the Everest Base Camp Trek via Salleri – 15 Days, an extraordinary journey that combines an overland adventure, authentic Sherpa culture, and the breathtaking landscapes of the Everest region. Designed by HimalayanWindows, this route offers a gradual approach to Everest while avoiding the immediate rush of flying directly to Lukla.

Your adventure begins in Kathmandu with a cultural sightseeing tour before traveling by private jeep through the scenic hills of Nepal to Salleri, the gateway to Solukhumbu. Trek through peaceful mountain villages including Taksindo, Kharikhola, and Paiya before joining the classic Everest trail at Phakding. Along the way, experience traditional Sherpa hospitality, Buddhist monasteries, prayer wheels, mani walls, and beautiful Himalayan landscapes.

The journey continues to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant Sherpa capital, where an acclimatization day helps prepare you for higher elevations. From Namche, trek through Tengboche and Dingboche toward Lobuche and Gorak Shep, surrounded by spectacular views of Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Nuptse, Pumori, and Thamserku.

The ultimate highlights are reaching Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and hiking to Kala Patthar (5,545m), one of the finest viewpoints for Mount Everest. After celebrating this remarkable achievement, descend through the Khumbu Valley to Namche and Lukla before flying back to Kathmandu.

With a balanced itinerary, acclimatization, cultural encounters, and unforgettable mountain scenery, the Everest Base Camp Trek via Salleri is an ideal choice for travelers seeking a deeper and more rewarding Himalayan adventure.
