Rara Lake Trek – 15 Days is a famous trekking trail in Dolpa Region, western Nepal. Rara Lake is the largest Lake in Nepal, and it is in the Karnali Zone, located at an altitude of 2990m; the lake covers an area of 10.8 sq KM. The Rara Laka is 5 Km long and 3 KM wide. The maximum depth of this lake is 167m. Wilderness and remote tour destinations Karnali, Jumla, and Rara Lake, are still moderately unknown and look at typical villages' cultures and their rural way of life.

Rara National Park is one of the best national parks in Nepal. The picturesque forests of this national park are an open habitat for musk deer, Himalayan Black Bear, and other wildlife species. Danfe, the national bird of Nepal, can be seen in this national park. Rara Lake also has a selection of fish and snow turtles. The Rara Lake is the showpiece of the Rara National Park. The Trans Himalayan Valley, with forest and alpine pastures, is also a part of the national park. The Rara Lake Trek – 15 Days starts with the flight from Kathmandu to Jumla via Nepaljung, and from Jumla, they proceed to Rara Lake. Rara Lake Trail passes through green countryside, which offers strange glances of culture and landscape different than elsewhere in Nepal. The lake and the nearby forest are beautiful and calm, and it is the desired destination for bird lovers. The lower and upper path of the Great Himalayan trail creates crossroads at Rara Lake. From this lake, the trekker can carry on to Humla, following the ancient salt route or any daring paths to nearby Dolpa. The Rara Lake trek is surrounded by beautiful pine, juniper, spruce forests and a host variety of unique flora and fauna. This park has 1074 different species of flora, 51 species of mammals, and 214 species of birds. The majority of the community is in the field of agriculture. They also rear goats and remove medicinal herbs and plants to sell them. Thakuri is a well-known society there. The Thakuri Baba temple is in the southeast corner of the Rara Lake Trekking.
