This day; you will arrive either from Kathmandu or Mainland China (Beijing or Lhasa); after your arrival in Gonggar Airport, you will be greeted by our guide, escorted to Lhasa and transferred to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel.
Our team of guide and driver will pick you from the hotel (after breakfast) and drive you to visit Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera Monasteries, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Streets. The time of the visit of these sites depends on their time; the guide will update you about the time and duration prior to your visit. Overnight at your hotel.
You will drive to Gyantse for 251Km through Khamba-la Pass (4794m); you will see beautiful Yamdrok Lake and M.r Nyenchen Khangsar in distance; also you will see Karola Glacier en route. In Gyantse, you will visit Kumbum Stupa and Palkhor Choede Monastery which are popular because of its architecture and old sculptures and paintings. Then; you will drive to Shigatse. Overnight at the hotel.
You will visit the stunning Tashilhunpo Monastery; which is founded by the first Dalai Lama in 1447 and later expanded by the fourth and successive Panchen Lamas. Tashilhumpo Monastery is the seat of Panchen Lama. After the sightseeing in Shigatse town; drive back to Lhasa.
This day, you will drive early in the morning to Namtso Lake; the Namtso is the second biggest holy lake in Tibet. You will explore Namtso and back to Lhasa on the same day. Overnight at the hotel in Lhasa.
