The experience at a glance
During your visit to Tibet, you will explore the "city of sunshine 'Lhasa'" where the magnificent Dalai Lama's Potala Palace (Durbar) is situated. Moreover, you will visit other famous monasteries such as Sera, Drepung, Norbulingka, Jokhang temple, etc. On this journey to Tibet, you will travel up to Everest's Base camp (5150m) on North Ridge (Face), passing through Gyantse, Shigatse, Shakya, Tingri, and Rongbuk monastery. This 8-day journey to Mount Everest Base Camp via Lhasa is one of the famous itineraries to explore central Tibet and Mount Everest itself.
After arriving at a beautiful Himalayan nation, Nepal, you will be greeted by one of our company's representatives at the Tibet-Nepal border and escorted to Kathmandu through Rasuwagadi HWY. During your week-long trip to Nepal, you will experience the historical sites and wildlife activities at Chitwan National Park. As you have seen magnificent mountain views, we emphasize taking you to the Historical, Religious, and Cultural monuments such as Bhaktapur, Patan, Kathmandu Durbar squares, Boudhanath Stupa, Swoyambhunath Temple, Pashupatinath Temple, etc. Moreover, you will spend three days and two nights at Chitwan National Park, where you will go on Jeep Safari, Jungle walk, cultural dance shows, etc.
Moreover, suppose you want to explore Everest Base Camp from both Tibet and Nepal sides (Everest North and South Faces). Arrival in Lhasa either from Beijing or Chengdu or any other destination of Mainland China or Kathmandu. Transfer and check-in to your hotel. Full rest for acclimatization- Hotel.
Two full-day sightseeing tours to LHASA including JOKHANG TEMPLE, BARKHOR BAZAAR, POTALA PALACE, and SERA & DREPUNG MONASTERIES. Overnight at the hotel.
Drive to Shigatse via Gyantse and Yamdroktso. Enroute visit Yamdroktso and Phalkhor and Khumbub stupa in Gyantse. Drive to Shigatse. O/N at hotel.
Early in the morning, we will leave for Ronghuk via Lhatse and Shegar. On the way, we will encounter a few high passes, Gyatso La, Gawu La, and Nyalam Passes. On the top of Gawu La, we will be able to witness the spectacular view of the Himalayan Ranges. We will follow the bumpy road to Rongbuk, it about 100 Km. O/N at guest house.
You will hike to Everest base camp either on foot or hiring horse cart, Explore around EBC and back to Rongbuk (4+4 KM) and drive back to Shegar or Tingri. Overnight at guesthouse
Drive to Kerung from Tingri. Overnight at guest house in Kerung (Nepal Tibet border town)
Early in the morning, drive to the immigration, clear border formalities and drive to Kathmandu. The drive from Kerung border to Kathmandu takes about six to seven hours. The road is under construction and some part of the road is bumpy. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu.
This day, you will be taken for a full day sightseeing in Kathmandu valley; you will visit Pashupati Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swoyambhutan Temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Overnight at hotel
This day, early in the morning, we will drive to Chitwan by Tourism public bus/Private transportation. You will drive through the Trishuli river and scenic landscapes (You can also attend River Rafting at Trishuli River if you like). After you reach Chitwan, you will be greeted by our representative, taken to the hotel; in the evening you will go to visit the Elephant Breeding Centre and enjoy the Tharu Cultural show with dinner. Dinner will be provided.
The program for this day: 6:15 AM: Wake up call; 7:15 AM: Breakfast; 8:00 AM: Cannoning and Jungle Walk; 12:00 PM: Lunch; 1:30 PM: Elephant Safari (2 hrs); 7:00 PM: Dinner
This day; we will take you for Bird watching before breakfast; after breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu. O/N at hotel
This day; you will explore Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Square with Changunarayan temple. If you wish to visit any other landmarks around the valley, you will take you there. In the evening, you will be offer for cultural dinner at one of the authentic Nepalese local restaurant and bid you farewell.
This day, one of our representatives from the company will take you to the airport for your final departure home.
